For Beginning Competitive Swimmers
New Minnows Group
The Peoria Area Water Wizards Swim Team would like to issue a special invitation to your child to participate in a new program for beginning swimmers who are interested in learning the basics of competitive swimming. This program will offer a basic introduction to the 4 competitive strokes used in swimming and the other skills necessary to swim competitively. This will be a program with an emphasis on fun in the water, and learning the correct techniques to swim competitvely. There is no requirement to compete at any level in this program. There are no required competitions to be involved with this program. We simply want to offer a way for your swimmer to learn to be a better swimmer and find out if he/she might wish to further their interest in the sport of swimming. This class will be taught by one of the PAWW coaches with extensive experience coaching swimming. There will be 2 practices a week at Central Park Pool, located at 415W. Richmond. Attendance is not mandatory, come the nights that you can make it. Of course, the more often you come the faster you will improve.
Children can start this program at any time throughout the year. If you would like to find out more about this program, you can call Central Park Pool at (309) 712-PAWW Monday through Friday between 2 pm and 5:15 pm and ask to speak to Ivan Borissov. Or you can contact Ivan through his email address: Ivan@PAWW.org.
