Kentucky family feels at home during Sheridan swim meet

To The Herald-Whig:

I have once again had the pleasurable experience of attending a Sheridan Swim Club Firecracker Invitational swim meet in Quincy.

I would like to say thank you to all of the Sheridan Swim Club officials and parents for organizing, planning and conducting one of the greatest swim meets in Mid-America.  They provide one of the greatest competitive athletic events for our youth that these young people will ever know.  What a positive experience and memory our children will have of these wonderful summer days in Quincy.

But, even more, I would like to compliment the businesses, the community and the news media of Quincy for the great support and friendship that you all display in making all of the swimming parents,  friends, and relatives welcome in your

community.  My family, swim team, and their families were here three years ago for the swim meet and we have never forgotten how friendly the people of Quincy were, so we had to come back for this year’s meet.  I assure you, we’ll be planning many return trips in the future years.

Thanks to everyone in Quincy for a great weekend of competitive swimming and a happy experience for my family.  We appreciate your friendship.

The Blues Festival in Washington Park Friday evening was an added benefit for our weekend enjoyment.  We love, you Quincy!
